Remember those super old Nintendo controllers that only had 2 buttons? A and B? Ski-On Neon proves that even 2 buttons was too many! SINGLE BUTTON. Given the complicated controllers out there now, it’s hard to believe that an app with single-button game play could be this addicting -- and shockingly challenging. All you have to do is control whether your skier is crouching or diving depending on the surface below you. The track is a waving white line in outer space, and you crouch or dive to either gain speed or boost for big air. Think you can just memorize the course? Nope. The course is randomly generated each time you play, so you never play the same course twice.
There are a number of game modes -- High Flyer, Speed Trials, Air Time Challenge, and more -- each of which present their own frustratingly addictive challenges. If you nail it, you turn into speeding fireball...and who doesn’t enjoy turning their player into a speeding ball (I can think of a hedgehog in particular that loved doing that). The visuals are as simple as the game play, with bright neon colors creating a cool futuristic vibe. Gamer Beware: Don’t start playing this game if you have anything pressing that you need to do in the next 30 minutes. You’ll be too busy launching a neon futuristic skier through space. And you wont be able to set it down.
